How Does it Work?

What is the Quick File Secretary?

The Quick File Secretary is an innovative new way to manage your company’s responsibilities online. The system can store information about your company, file forms electronically with Companies House, maintain and print your statutory registers, complete your annual return, generate board minutes and record your dividends.

What do I need to use the system?

All you need to use the Quick File System is a Computer with an internet connection. As the system is managed online you can access your data from anywhere in the world, this is due to the remote software technology that we employ. To view and print your company registers you will need a word processor such as Microsoft Word and to view your completed forms you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader (This is preinstalled on most computers and can be downloaded free of charge from www.adobe.com).

How do I file information electronically?

The Quick File Secretary has the capability to file a range of Companies House forms electronically. In order to enable this feature you must have a company authentication code. If you incorporated your company online then you will have been allocated a company authentication code by Companies House. If you contact your formation agent then they should be able to inform you of this code. If your company has been incorporated for sometime or you would like to register a new authentication code then instructions on how this can be done may be found on the system within the Control Panel.

The Quick File Secretary can also automatically complete paper based versions of many Companies House forms. These completed forms can be viewed online or emailed directly to your registered email address.

How much does it cost to use the system?

For a single company licence the cost is £49.99 + vat. The licence is for a one year period and provides full access to the Quick File System. As the system is updated automatically you do not need to purchase additional upgrades.

If you are an accountant or an agent responsible for managing multiple companies we can offer a multi-user account at a discounted rate depending on your individual requirements. You can also increase the number of company's you are managing incrementally as your client base expands, for more details click here.

The prices quoted do not include the Companies House statutory filing fee for submitting your annual return. This is usually £30 however by filing electronically on the Quick File system this is only £15.
