Here's the deal: the following transactions are free no matter what the balance in your account.

	Free Direct Debits
	Free Standing Orders
	Free ATM withdrawals
	Free cheque pay-ins
	It is also free to write cheques if you maintain a monthly cleared balance of £5,000 or more and write 100 cheques or less per month*.
*If you write more than 100 cheques in a month, you will be charged 40p for each additional cheque. If your credit balance falls below £5,000 at any time, you will be charged 40p per cheque for each cheque written for the whole month following your last statement. Branch Banking service excluded and there are transaction charges for International payments.
